How to Use Channels for BOKBOK Posting
Channels is the place where you tell BOKBOK which Facebook Page, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack room, Discord room, or Telegram chat should get your posts. Connect once. After that, you can pick those places when you write a post — without logging into each app every time.

What is a “channel” in plain words?
A channel is simply “one place that can receive your post.” Examples: your shop’s Facebook Page, your Instagram, your LinkedIn profile, one Slack room, one Discord room, or one Telegram chat.
If you have two Facebook Pages, that is two channels. Each one is listed under the Facebook card.
How to open Channels
In Post Automation, tap Channels at the top. You will see six cards: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord, Slack, and Telegram. Each card has its own Connect button. Below are the exact steps for every card.
Facebook — connect step by step
Use this when you want to post as your shop’s Facebook Page (the Page customers follow).
- Open Channels and find the Facebook card.
- Tap Connect Facebook.
- A Facebook login / allow screen opens. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.
- Allow BOKBOK when Facebook asks (so it can publish the posts you choose).
- A list of your Pages appears. Tick one or more Pages you want to use for posting.
- Confirm. Wait until each chosen Page shows as Connected under the Facebook card.
- Done. Those Pages appear as circles on Create Post.
Tip: Pick the Page people follow — not only a personal profile — if you mean to post as the shop. Wrong account showing? Sign out of Facebook in your browser, then tap Connect Facebook again.
Instagram — connect step by step
Instagram posting here needs a professional Instagram (Business or Creator) that is linked to a Facebook Page. If that link is missing, finish it in Facebook/Instagram settings first, then come back.
- Open Channels and find the Instagram card.
- Tap Connect Instagram.
- Sign in / allow on the screens that appear (usually through Facebook, because Instagram for shops is linked that way).
- When asked, select the Facebook Page(s) that have Instagram linked.
- Confirm. Wait until Instagram shows as Connected under the Instagram card.
- Done. You can send photo posts to that Instagram from Create Post.
Tip: If no Instagram appears in the list, check that your Instagram is professional and linked to the correct Facebook Page, then try Connect Instagram again.
LinkedIn — connect step by step
Use this to publish updates to your LinkedIn profile from BOKBOK.
- Open Channels and find the LinkedIn card.
- Tap Connect LinkedIn.
- A LinkedIn screen opens. Sign in if asked.
- Allow BOKBOK when LinkedIn asks.
- Return to Channels. Wait until LinkedIn shows as Connected.
- Done. You can select LinkedIn on Create Post.
Tip: If Connect seems stuck, close the extra window, refresh Channels, and try Connect LinkedIn once more.
Discord — connect step by step
Discord needs two steps: connect your server, then pick the exact room (text channel) where posts should appear.
- Open Channels and find the Discord card.
- Tap Connect Discord.
- On the Discord screen, choose the server (community) you manage and allow BOKBOK.
- Return to Channels. You may see Needs channel — that only means “pick the room next.”
- Tap Select channel on that Discord row.
- Choose the text room where shop updates should go (for example #announcements).
- Save. Status should become Connected / ready.
- Done. That Discord room can be selected on Create Post.
Tip: Want a different room later? Tap Change channel on that row and pick again. You do not need to disconnect first.
Slack — connect step by step
Slack also needs two steps: connect your workspace, then pick the exact Slack room for posts.
- Open Channels and find the Slack card.
- Tap Connect Slack.
- On the Slack screen, choose your workspace and allow BOKBOK.
- Return to Channels. You may see Needs channel — pick the room next.
- Tap Select channel on that Slack row.
- Choose the room for updates (for example #general or #shop-updates).
- Save. Status should become Connected / ready.
- Done. That Slack room can be selected on Create Post.
Tip: Change room anytime with Change channel. Disconnect only if you want Slack removed completely.
Telegram — connect step by step
Telegram is a little different: you connect a posting bot, then tell BOKBOK which channel or group should receive posts. Tap Instruction on the Telegram card anytime for the same checklist inside the app.
Before you start in BOKBOK:
- Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
- Create a new bot with /newbot (best: a bot used only for posting, not your chat bot).
- Copy the bot token BotFather gives you (keep it private — like a password).
- Add that bot to your Telegram channel as admin with permission to post, or to a group with permission to send messages.
- Know your target: for a public channel use @channelname; for private places use the numeric chat id (often starts with -100).
Telegram — finish inside BOKBOK
Now complete the connection on the Channels page:
- Open Channels and find the Telegram card.
- Tap Connect Telegram.
- Paste the bot token into the box and tap Connect.
- When it asks, tap Set target chat (or Change target chat later).
- Paste @channelname or the chat id, then save.
- Status should become Connected / ready.
- Done. That Telegram place can be selected on Create Post.
Tip: If it still says Needs chat, you only finished the bot — tap Set target chat and paste the channel/group. Never share your bot token in public messages.
How to change a room or remove a place
Discord or Slack room wrong? Use Change channel / Select channel and pick again.
Telegram target wrong? Use Change target chat and paste the correct @channel or chat id.
Want BOKBOK to stop posting somewhere? Use Disconnect on that row. Other places stay connected. You can Connect again later.
Quick checklist — is this place ready?
Before Create Post, glance at Channels:
- Facebook / Instagram / LinkedIn: status says Connected.
- Discord / Slack: you already picked a room (not stuck on Needs channel).
- Telegram: bot connected and target chat set (not stuck on Needs chat).
- Ready places show as clear circles on Create Post. Faded circles still need finishing here.
How Channels helps every other page
Create Post uses these places. Calendar shows posts for these places. Sets save groups of these places. Comments and numbers mostly work for Facebook and Instagram after they are connected. A few quiet minutes on Channels first makes everything else easier.
A simple start for new users
Day one: connect only the one or two places your customers already check (often Facebook and Instagram). Make one test post. When that feels easy, add LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, or Telegram.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need every network on the first day?
No. Start with one or two. Add more when you are ready.
Why is a circle faded when I create a post?
That place is not ready yet. Open Channels and finish connecting, or pick the Discord/Slack room, or set the Telegram chat.
Can I connect two Facebook Pages?
Yes. On the Page list, tick more than one, or run Connect Facebook again for another Page. Each shows under the Facebook card.
What does “Needs channel” mean on Discord or Slack?
You connected the server/workspace, but have not picked the room yet. Tap Select channel and choose the room.
What does “Needs chat” mean on Telegram?
The bot is connected, but the target channel/group is missing. Tap Set target chat and paste @channelname or the chat id.
What if I disconnect by mistake?
Tap Connect again on that card and follow the same steps for that network.
Who can see that I connected?
Connecting lets BOKBOK send posts you choose. Customers still see posts as coming from your Page, Instagram, LinkedIn, or room — not as a strange new name.
